About the Role
The successful applicant will have the chance to put your full range of skills to use and at the same time be appropriately recognised and rewarded. We are looking for a doctor who can work four days per week plus participate in the on-call roster for the Practice and the George Town Hospital. AGPAL accredited, George Town Medical Centre has a strong ethos of delivering a high quality health service to the community. As well as being family oriented, the practice also provides occupational health and safety services to the nearby port and industrial sector, and exclusively looks after the residents of Ainslie Nursing Home at Low Head, a five minute drive away. Doctors working at the practice provide support to the collocated community hospital. With 15 acute care beds in the hospital, the doctors value the opportunity to be able to admit their patients and continue their care whilst hospitalised. The practice employs a pool of registered nurses, with three on duty each day, and seven administrative staff. Patients are also able to access a diverse range of on-site services, including counselling, minor surgery, shared care, pathology and some radiography with digital processing. Software used is Medical Director and PracSoft. The practice operates a mixed billing policy. Skills and Experience required: Currently registered, or eligible for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia. General practice experience. Recent emergency medicine experience. A competitive salary is available for the right candidate, with guaranteed minimum earnings of $102,255 per year based on full-time employment. Rural Medical Payments. Workforce Incentive Payments.
