Cons Anaesthetics Locum at Forbes

Provide anaesthesia services, pre-admission clinic services, on-call anaesthetic and regional anaesthesia services, critical care services, vascular access support, pain services, neonatal resuscitation services, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services, training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars, participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings.



Clinical handover at 0800 with outgoing or incoming anaesthetist on the ward or by telephone.

Provide anaesthesia services at allocated theatre lists, including eye blocks.

Provide pre-admission clinic services as scheduled.

Provide on-call anaesthetic and regional anaesthesia services including epidurals across the facility

Provide critical care services including airway management, ventilator support and haemodynamic support at the facility.

Provide vascular access support across the facility.

Provide pain services across the facility.

Provide neonatal resuscitation services.

Participate in rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility.

Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.

Participate in morbidity and mortality meetings, MDT meetings and other clinical meetings as requested.
