Cons Medicine Locum at Port Macquarie

Consultant/Spec/Vmo in Gastroenterology and Hepatology

Clinical Duties:

Available surgical lists(scopes) will be discussed upon the confirmation of available candidate across the MNCLHD sites.

Ward Rounds 0800-1200

On-Call Responsibilities:

Participation of on-call for the duration on this placement.

Team Structure:

The specialist works within a multidisciplinary team that includes:

A Gastroenterology Advanced Trainee

Junior medical staff, including a Basic Physician Trainee (BPT) and an Intern, who provide clinical support.

Highly desirable/preferable for candidate to have ERCP certification/capabilities.

Candidates without the certification are able to apply and will be assessed for suitability.

Preference to a candidate who can work the whole placement.

Preferred payment via FFS

Paid on a per-service basis, using a Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) schedule of fees. The locum is expected to complete ward rounds and procedures but will bill in VMoney.
