We are seeking a Locum FACEM VMO to join Armidale Hospital’s Emergency Department in a unique role. This position offers the chance to practise high-impact emergency medicine in a rural regional setting, with significant autonomy and exposure to a diverse and often complex caseload. While the workload can at times be high and junior support is limited, this creates an excellent opportunity for a confident FACEM to take on meaningful leadership, shape clinical processes, and enjoy hands-on, broadly scoped emergency practice.

Armidale itself is a highly liveable city in the New England region of NSW, known for its cool climate, four distinct seasons, national parks, waterfalls, and strong cultural and educational community. Travel is convenient: it’s an easy 5.5–6.5-hour drive from both Sydney and Brisbane, and Armidale Airport offers direct flights to Sydney (QantasLink) and Brisbane (Link Airways).
