Cons General Practice Locum at Cowra

ED Afternoon Shift. Provide medical care to inpatients and ED patients, complete discharge summaries, review admitted patients, provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services, check pathology and radiology results, supervise students and junior medical officers, and participate in clinical meetings.

Qualifications/Experience • Advanced Life Support Level 2 within the last 3 years

Duties • Face-to-face clinical handover with day doctor for 30 minutes at the beginning and end of the shift in the Emergency Department.

• Provide medical care to inpatients, complete discharge summaries and review admitted patients as requested.
• Provide onsite medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
• Complete contemporaneous and comprehensive clinical documentation in eMR.
• Provide and lead clinical review, rapid response, trauma and cardiac arrest services across the facility
• Check pathology and radiology results in the ED results message centre ordered by any doctor, follow-up and document management plans for any results needed further action and review any patients returning for follow-up of results.
• Participate in the training and supervision of students, junior medical officers and registrars.
• Participate in clinical meetings as requested
• Provide clear management plan for patients being admitted with full medication reconciliation and documentation.
• Accept transfers in from other hospitals and document care plan and medications.
