Reg Medicine Locum at Macleay Valley, Kempsey

General Medicine ward role including ward rounds and handover from Medical/ED teams, assessing patients in ED and ward, initiating first line therapies for admissions, liaising with the admitting Consultant to formulate management plans, and communicating effectively with patients, families, carers, and colleagues.

Day shifts from 26-27/9 (8-hour shift) inclusive of half hour unpaid meal break General Medicine Department.

Role specifications & responsibilities for General Medicine are

Ward rounds and handover from Medical/ED Teams

General Medicine ward role able to assess patients in the ED and ward and must be able to initiate first line therapies for such admissions.

Must be able to liaise with the admitting Consultant to formulate a management plan.

Must be able to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families and carers.

Demonstrate ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team

Must act respectfully and professionally with colleagues.
