Registrar IC in the Emergency Department. ED has 16 acute and 3 resuscitation beds. Typical ED staffing: 0700–1700 2 Registrars + 1 RMO; 0800–1800 2 FACEM + 1 Registrar + 1 RMO + 1 Intern; 1400–2400 2 FACEM + 4 Registrars + 1 RMO + 1 Intern; 2230–0830 2 Registrars + 1 RMO + 1 Intern + 1 FACEM on call. Registrar shifts split between ‘acute’, ‘ambulatory’ and ‘EMU/resource support’.

Support provided: 24hr consultant, registrars, RMOs and nursing staff
