PAEDS Consultant with on-call requirements. Responsibilities include assessment of children from neonates to 16 years, developing acute management plans, performing appropriate interventions and investigations, attending births, clinical reviews, and supporting the emergency department for emergent/unwell paediatric patients. Neonatal and advanced paediatric resuscitation skills required.

OVERVIEW:

• Paediatric Registrar shifts (PGY4 and above) available at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital from 4th August, 2025
• Possibility of longer-term contracts for interested applicants
• WWBH has a 15-bed paediatric unit, in addition to 8 beds in SCN (from 32 weeks) and a mixed Emergency Department
• There is consultant cover during the day and on-call support after hours.
• Local resident support is rostered for day and evening shifts
• Responsibilities include assessment of children ranging from neonates to 16 years of age, developing acute management plans and performing appropriate intervention and investigation, attending births, clinical reviews and the emergency department as required for emergent/unwell patients; neonatal and advanced paediatric resuscitation skills are required for this role.
